The Wall Street Journal on August 14, 2024, wrote that more and more people are including their animals in their wills. Not so much like the famous Leona Helmsley who famously left $12M for her dog, Trouble, but just that they specify who will be the guardians of their pets when they’re gone. As a dog owner, I think it’s a good idea, as currently my family and friends would be fighting over my dog Zoomer and I’d want to write it out who would get her and under what conditions.
